Bachelor Pad Furniture: 4 Must-Haves

When it comes to bachelor pad furniture, there’s often an attitude of anything goes. During the time when one is single and unencumbered, it makes sense to simply let one’s own style and artistic self shine within any apartment decor. However, there are some staples that a bachelor pad really needs.

Lush, Comfortable Bed

A big, attractive bed that is in the style of your choice is a main focal point of a bachelor pad apartment. Since a bachelor pad is all about you, and no compromise is necessary, go all out. Get a bed of your dreams. Whether that’s one that hints of “Star Trek”, or a Victorian four-post bed, the place to splurge for a bachelor pad apartment is in the bedroom. Make it comfortable. You may hang out here watching television, reading or simply chilling out. Make sure that you’re well-equipped for optimal relaxation.

Game Table

A game table is an often-used staple of the bachelor pad apartment. If you throw a table cloth on it, it can serve as a dining table, and it can be well-suited for entertaining all kinds of friends and visitors. You may host card game tournaments with friends or board games with a date. Also, it can be a focal point for decorating and gathering at parties. It works best placed in a main living space, such as a living room or den. You may get one and assemble in yourself from a big box store or opt for a really nice one that you may keep for years to come. If you have a favorite game, you may even opt to get a table themed to it, as well as a game table themed to a favorite hobby.

Closet or Dresser

If your bachelor pad doesn’t already have a big, roomy closet, you’ll want to get an external dresser or closet that has lots of room for your wardrobe and accessories. You are likely living in your bachelor pad at a time in your life when you want to look your best. Bachelors often want to dress to impress, both in their personal and work lives. That makes a closet where you can keep ironed clothes looking fresh and carefully display your wardrobe for easy picking essential.

Mini Bar or Wine Rack

A bachelor pad is often a central destination for entertaining friends or at least yourself. Make the most of this mission by having a miniature bar that’s kept stocked or a wine rack, where you can optimally store wines for best taste and longevity. Depending on your drinks of choice and budget, you may opt to have both. Essential you’ll want to keep in your bar are your favorite drinks, mixers, a variety of bar glasses, salt, sugar and fresh fruits for garnishes. A wine rack demands that you keep a nearby corkscrew handy, as well as spare corks.
