This is slightly off-topic, but I once had a roommate who snored the way a chainsaw cutting through your skull would feel/sound. So, one long sleepless night, I decided to tape record the sound of it. The next morning, I replayed it to him and he was pretty sad, but he did try amazingly hard to cut back on the snoring (e.g. sleeping on his side, using no pillow...nothing seemed to work so I got used to it!) Oddly enough, I did get used to it.
