Look, basically, don't expect that your new rent is going to be the only cost you need to worry about. There's also storage if you need a temporary place for your things, boxes you might have to buy to be able to pack; whatever or whomever you are going to use to be able to move you things-even if you're just paying for your friends gas and maybe a lunch; the security deposit, no matter what the amount of it is going to be. You need to remember that there will most likely be a fee involved when switching one or more of your utilities to your new address (like some phone companies charge). And what about pets? If you have them, do you have to pay a monthly fee, or will your security deposit go up? If you don't have them, you still have to worry because you may want them in the future. No, like others who replied, I don't think the stuff above was enough help either (and, no, neither did I nor do I have anything to do with this site-sometimes google pays off), but at least it's a start. Go from there, and look at everything before choosing to move. If you don't have a choice...look fast, and ask for help.
