You know I don't really

You know I don't really think it should matter if you live in a house OR an apartment, putting up with other peoples' dog barking is a pain. I don't understand how the sound of a dog barking can be compared to a child screaming. There is no place that I can think of that would ban a screaming child or charge a security deposit for one. I've lived in a lot of different places and I don't mind the human produced noise nearly as much as I mind dogs barking at every hour of the night. Someone mentioned sarcastically that they didn't know that owning a dog was a 24/7 job...well if you don't want to be stuck with your dog all the time, what the hell makes you think that anyone wants to be stuck hearing your dog all the time? If I wanted to constantly hear a dog barking, I would own a dog. I don't think asking for peace and quiet during hours that humans can't play loud music is too much to ask. All dog owners should remember that when you own a dog, you're not the only person to have to "deal" with the dog...all of your neighbors also have to deal with it too. If you don't have the time to teach your dog when it is approriate to bark, maybe you shouldn't have a dog. Cuz after a while of losing sleep, people turn cranky and ugly things happen.
