The dog in one of the apartments downstairs has been barking all day (as usual). It barks often enough when the owner is home to be an incredible disturbance - the owner just sits there while the dog goes off for 10 minutes at a stretch. Takes a breath. Then does it again. The owner is on a power trip and ENJOYS annoying people. But when the owner is gone, it's NONSTOP BARKING. Not even a rest. ALL DAY LONG. The dog sits at the open screen door that opens to the patio (sometimes it manages to open the door) and BELLOWS out and across the land. It's a big dog with a SUPER LOUD bark. Astonishingly loud. I can't tell you how many times it has woken me out of a sound sleep (and I'm a good sleeper). And the owner has been gone more and more often lately - while her big, insanely lonely, bored as all get out, brainless dog with the loudest imaginable bark sits there alone in a tiny one bedroom apartment all day and just BARKS BARKS BARKS. Yeah, right, she's a dog lover - HA, HA, HA. Who do you think you irresponsible dog owners are fooling. You are really a dog AND people haters. And everyone knows this.

I don't even want to be in my own apartment that I work hard to pay for anymore - I think up reasons not to come home, so I don't have to listen to BARK BARK BARK. I complained to the office but they did nothing, they never do - they are just there to collect money. There is nothing I can do - I already have to keep the windows and patio door shut all the time - forget about getting nice breezes or cutting down on the electric bill. But that doesn't even make a dent in the barking, it's that loud. And fans, forget about that, that would do nothing - we are talking a BIG DOG barking at a volume as loud as a horn blast - and it's just 10 feet away from me. And to the inconsiderate passive aggressive dog owners who are making cracks - how about this, why don't YOU wear earplugs while I stand outside your window day blowing a horn for ten minutes straight at regular intervals? Because that's the equivalent of what this dog does.

The sad thing is I'm not alone - this is happening to so many people. The minority are taking away the basic right of peace in one's own home from the majority and getting away with it.
