If you gave at LEAST 30 days notice, you should be clear of any financial responsibility. That should have given them some time to try to find a replacement or for you to find a replacement. As long as you paid all of your bills and rent up until you moved out and didn't do any damage, they can't really do much. I suppose if you were financially able and wanted to be a nice guy, you could pay an extra month or two for your utilities and maybe half of your regular rent, just to help them out a little.
