FABRIC, FABRIC, FABRIC! If you lack sewing skills and reupholstering your furniture is out of the question- use a sheet of fabric and drap over furniture. Even pillows are an easy option for some style. Curtains also can add a big splash of color and no drilling or nailing neccessary with the spring rods. I have an area rug that comes out from under our couch. It's way more comfortable than the nasty carpet in the apartment, but again also adds color and makes the floor pop! For the walls: I suggest finding that removable COMMAND line by 3M.. you hang pictures posters without damaging paint or putting holes in your wall. Goodluck
