In the interest of the exhibitionist reading the article, it is considered illegal and is considered indecent exposure. You are not safe in your own home doing illegal drugs if someone can see you doing it, just like you are not safe flashing someone even if it's through your window.

I'm a fan of people being allowed to do what ever they want as long as it doesn't hurt me, but according to the current law - close your shades.
