I will be separating from my husband and need a nice, safe place for my 3-year-old son and myself. The problem is I don't have great credit or can't afford much ($700-$800) for a 1-bedroom until I'm able to get on my feet. I'd really like a backhouse/guesthouse if possible and don't know how to begin. I'm a quiet person, don't party, drink, have lots of people over, or stay up late (so tv off around 10-10:30 wkdys & no later than 11 on wknds because I attend 8AM church service in LA). I don't want to uproot my son from his school but am willing to drive 35-40 minute-driv to reach his school (near Florence and Crenshaw Blvd in Los Angeles). Any tips anyone can recommended, or does any know of such a quiet type place that wouldn't mind a Mom and 3-yr-old as tenants.
