I bought a 7foot black steel trellis from Home Depot and secured it with black zip ties to my 2nd floor balcony railing. I hang potted plants from it in the warm weather and in the winter I use it to hang suet as well as apples and oranges for the squirells and birds (woodpeckers, chickadees, juncos etc) in my area. I also put a bird bath out on the balcony that the birds and squirrels just love. I've also hung bird feeders that attract the most lovely finches all Summer. I spray painted cobalt blue 2 white resin planters and fill them with mixed flowers. The trellis and planters provide privacy from my other neighbors as well as looking beautiful.
