roaches are pretty hard to kill. when i was 17 years old i woke up one and saw my aunt spraying and wacking this roach with her shoe. and crazy enough as many times as she wacked and sprayed it it was stilly moving!

and even though you live on the second floor roaches can still get to you. they can flatten them selves to fit into the smallest of crevices. which means they can get in from practically anywhere.

and no matter how much you clean its still not going to keep the other curious roaches from checking out your place for food and water. like also mentioned they can travel from apartment to apartment. the whole building would have to be bombed.
