My new attack on the vicious war on roaches at my house seems to be working... slowly... but it is working...
I bought a small vaccuum (just for this purpose), it is a bagless one, you know, like the ones with the cup thingy you can empty. I put a tad of borax in the cup, hook up the hose to it, with the crevice tool.
I set out my traps (A few slivers of fresly grated carrots). Of course the carrots are in tiny pieces, perfect for being sucked through the vaccuum. Then I wait.
I suffer from insomnia already, so this method doesnt bother me.
I just wait a few hours (or until what ever Im watching on tv is over), go into the kitchen (where mine are),
Flip on the light, and go postal on them.... sucking the little buggers up in the vaccuum, through the hose. When Im done,.... and see no more, I cover the top of the hose with a heavy duty plastic bag and rubber band it in place (no escapees)
And that is something I do several times a night.
We also have bait traps, and have sprayed around our house. Our next is going to be borax around the paremiter of our yard, and inside along all the walls and cabinets. I cant stand roaches. They are so incredibly gross.
We never had roaches until our new neighbors moved in. Now its a problem. And I dont even live in a apartment.
I live in a mobile home park.
Man... wish they would just completely go away. Its just nice to know that I am not the only one who is obsessing over this.
