FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCE: Getting rid of all the roaches in a home is extremely hard, and almost impossible if you live in apartment units. The biggest problem in treating the infestation is not knowing where to target. People just set traps, bombs, etc, and all they do is kill a small fraction of the pest living there.
if you have seen roaches for more than a few years, you have an ifestation! it may take a few weeks, and a few diffrnt products to finish the job. TARGET THEIR BREEDING SPOTS, (These are usually in places that require appliance removal, and or intensive inspection). under, or inside stove, dead space in counter areas, inbetween walls, use your imagination. Use spray cans with the long pipe-nozzle for hard to reach openings. Places like panel junctions in kitchen cabinets are ideal crevices for them. Spray directly in these areas and even areas that you can't explore,- they're in there! again, use ur imagination, inside sofas, inside toasters, microwaves, tvs, computers, depending on where u place things and the amount of activity, moisture, and food supply, they find a nice cozy home in there. inside abandoned shoes, clothing, cookware, etc.
Dont forget that there are probably a few thoulsand roaches surrounding your home or building just waiting for a way to enter. I feel for those who live in infested apartment buildings, the problem is bigger there since your neighbor's pests are usually YOUR pests as well. dont hesitate to spray every little corner in the kitchen area, maybe use some boric acid, and a few isolated traps to REDUCE the infestation. you should proceed by caulking up ALL crevices and openings leading to inbetween walls, or outdoors, and regularly (every few months) treat the immediate outer surroundings and kitchen corners to prevent re-hatch. Some people have no knowledge of the possible heath hazards that these pests bring, and they deside to just share housing with em. if this sounds like your neighbor, educate them, contact the apmt office, or MOVE OUT! If a pair of roaches can produce a few million offsprings in a year, how many offsprings can a few hundred roaches produce in a few months??????
