Short on cash but you or someone you know has access to the big box retailers like Sam's Club? Check out the wine section for wooden crates, and take these home instead of a cardboard box. Drill holes near the corners of the bottom of the crate, but leave enough space for your hand and any power tool when you drill in the screws to mount this to the wall as a shelf.
