HAVE TO GO TO COURT

i was behind on my rent, got a notice from the landlord, tried repeatedly to contact them (this is a regular occurance - weeks+ to get stuff fixed) left messages, etc... then the sherrif served us w/ court papers. we have paid all back rent & the current months rent. we have 3 kids and little income. we have lived hear for 1.5 yrs (1 on lease, now month-to-month) the sherrif said even if we got caught-up to still go to court. are we gonna get evicted?
