How can it be a scam if they aren't taking anything from you? The $100 deal is a reward and there is quite an extensive verification.

Sounds like it was just an error with your friend. I had to submit my info twice because the manager at my apartment wouldn't verify with them that I had put ApartmentHomeLiving.com on my lease. But I did. Finally they verified and I got my $102 dollar REWARD.
