I can relate to your situation. I was mislead to a nice townhome which upon the first encounter was nice and well maintained. When we actually signed the lease agreemant and moved in it was found out that the people in this complex with the exception of one other family were all section 8 families. I personally think that the program is great for the people who really need the help. After the first month of living here my husband and I are sleep depraved ( we both work hard for our family ) there is mold in the closets, it took management 2 months to fix the hot water, my 14 year old was threatened with a large kitchen knife ( by a 43 year old black lady) my pregnant daughter can not step out the door without someone wanting to beat her up. It is not right for these people to stay awake half the night sitting out in the drive on lawn chairs drinking and smoking pot when the rest of us have to work. I have nothing against these people. If they need the help that is fine but if they can afford to buy dope and alchol then they can pay the same rent that we do. P>S> this is not just a weekend thing it is everyday. my husband gets up at 5am and does not get to sleep till sometimes 3am because of the noise. The management has been notified and the response was THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO.
