I live in a house with 2

I live in a house with 2 other roommates. I am the newest member to the "situation". I have been living here for almost 9 months and did not phathum the incompetencies that have been on-going. We (my roommates & I), have asked that the light in the dining room be fixed, the kitchen sink has been leaking since I moved in. The sink is leaking underneath causing mold and the faucet has a constant drip; meaning a slight increase in the water bill. The landlord said he would fix it and it's never been done. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom shakes when it is on and two of the light bulbs dangle from their sockets. They rattle around as well. I have asked for that to be fixed or replaced because it is a hazzard, and that has not been done either. The front and back yards were out of control with long, dead, grass and weeds. There was a pile of sticks and debree outside of my bedroom window. i could smell the filth from my bed. They just paid someone to cut the grass and dump the trash in the backyard after we had been asking for months. We are paying rent to live in a house and we are keeping a storage facility for our landlords furniture. We cannot use the garage at all because it is filled with the landlords things! I am paying rent in a house where I cannot call home. After I had been living at the house for about a month I asked the landlord for a lease agreement or contract. Both myself and roommates requested a written contract from the landlord and his girlfriend. On July 1st I gave my landlord notice that I would be moving on the 22nd of this month. I told him i figured out my prorated rent for the days I would be staying and it was $42 more than my security deposit. I told him to keep that we'd call it even.

To make a long story short I got a 3 day or quit notice. I don't know if I have any rights since we had continuously been asking for one...

I have read some of the other postings and this is my first time posting a comment, does anyone know anything about the law in this circumstance?

Can I 'call it even'?
