I've been living in my apartment for about a year now. I've been late with the rent a couple of times but have always paid the late charge fee.

Now my lease is up next month and I was kind of late on getting the last months rent paid which I'm going to do today. Before I could pay though I was served with an eviction notice to get out June 1st. I was not planning on renewing my lease anyway and was going to be out the 31st.

How bad will this effect my rental history? Is there anything I can do? I mean it was just for one months rent.
