I have the same problem with my roommate...she would have me give her 110 a week and then not give me reciepts or show me the bills. I finally told her i would hold my own money and she flipped out screaming and yelling at me...i wonder why, she must have been stealing my money. The week before the fight i paid her 110 cash on the 1st of may, i asked for it back and she said she didnt remember me giving her money. So i never got it back. I still have all my stuff there but I have been staying at my bfs house. I really need to move out and get out of the lease i just dont know how. When i was living there prob bout a week and a half ago, i came home and noticed my butter had been opened and used! I asked her why did you open my butter? Again she flipped out stating that it was "just a tablespoon" I said i dont care what it was it was my food for me not you! She told her mom and i started receiving threatening msgs from her...I have not been back since. Its a horrible time and the lease is for a yr. I got really sick from all this and have been to the hospital and doctors numerous times and now on medication from this...Does anyone know what i can do? I feel unsafe there and i have to move out! Please help! Please email me: xodiamondox1@aol.com

my roommate decided to move out the the very end of her termination... aka 11:40 at night. but right before she left she decided to vandalize her bedroom, by cutting the blinds with a box cutter, punching a dent in the wall and taking a can of cat food and rubbing it into the carpet and the walls... legally what can i do in order to make her pay for the damages so my new roommate can move in?

Actually, I think it was rather clever. By using "PAID IN FULL," the payer has evidence that the initial amount was the agreed amount if there was no written testimony on behalf of the total rent agreement. This serves in court as evidence for the trial.

The part about "PAID IN FULL" is totally bogus. It's simply not true, ask any lawyer or debt counselor.
